kommunizieren können. Honda hat Meilensteine in der Entwicklung humanoider
Roboter gesetzt.

Research in humanoid robots involves a wide spectrum
of scientific disciplines which are necessary to develop robots capable
of autonomously operating in a human environment and adequately communicating
with humans. Honda has set milestones in the development of humanoid robots.

Die leitenden Honda-Ingenieure, die Entwickler des ASIMO,
berichten von ihren Erfahrungen und geben einen Ausblick auf zukünftige
Herausforderungen. Die Funktionsmechanismen des ASIMO werden erläutert
und von ASIMO selbst demonstriert.

Leading Honda engineers, the developers of ASIMO, will
talk about their experiences and will give an outlook on future challenges.
The functional mechanisms of ASIMO will be explained and demonstrated by
ASIMO itself.

Im Rahmen des Symposiums werden führende
europäische Wissenschaftler zu aktuellen Fragen der Robotik, insbesondere
auf den Gebieten autonomer und lernender Systeme sprechen. Hierbei werden
neben wissenschaftlich-technischen Fragen auch die sozialen Implikationen
des Einsatzes humanoider Roboter diskutiert. |

During the symposium leading European scientists will
address current questions of robotics, especially in the fields of autonomous
and leaming robots. Apart from scientific and technical questions, the social
implications of using humanoid robots will be discussed. |
